collaborate with experts across various fields, including law, security, engineering, and product design, to
make decisions that prioritize the privacy of our users.
Commitment to Transparency
As users of many online services ourselves, we understand that inadequate information and overly complex
terms are common issues in privacy policies. Therefore, unlike other online services, MeeTok strives to
write its privacy policy and related documents in easy-to-understand terms, enabling users to read and fully
comprehend our policies.
Commitment to Security
MeeTok dedicates a specialized data security team to ensure the safety of users' data. We regularly update
our security policies and invest in efforts to enhance your information security.

2. When This Privacy Policy Applies
This privacy policy applies to all websites, apps, events, and other services operated under the MeeTok
brand name. For ease of understanding, these are collectively referred to as ‘services’ in this privacy
policy. Some services may require separate privacy policies; in such cases, the specific privacy policy
of that service will apply instead of this one.
3. Information Collection
Without information about users such as basic profile details or preferred partner types, it is
challenging to recommend meaningful matches. Additionally, MeeTok collects information about your use of
MeeTok services, such as access logs, data received from third parties when accessing MeeTok through
social media accounts, or uploading social media information to a MeeTok profile.
Information Provided by Users
When using MeeTok services, users may provide certain information, such as:
- Essential details like phone number and email address when creating an account, and some basic
information necessary for the service to operate properly, such as gender, date of birth, and whom
you want to meet on MeeTok.
- Optionally sharing sexual orientation when creating a profile. By providing such information, users
consent to its use as described in this privacy policy. Users may also share additional information,
such as self-introductions, interests, photos, and videos. To upload specific content like photos or
videos, camera or photo album access must be allowed.
- Purchasing information and finance details directly provided when utilizing paid subscription
services or making payments directly on MeeTok rather than through platforms like iOS or Android.
- Opinions, survey responses, and reviews provided when participating in surveys or market research.
- Information provided when participating in promotions, events, or contests conducted by MeeTok.
- Information collected during customer service inquiries.
- Information about others, which MeeTok processes on behalf of the user’s requests.
- Chat contents between users and other members, as well as user-posted content, are processed to
ensure safe operation of services and community protection.
Information Provided by Third Parties
Apart from information provided by users, MeeTok may collect user information from third parties:
- Other Members: MeeTok members can provide information about users during interactions or when
reporting users.
- Social Media: Users may share their information with MeeTok via social media, for example, by
creating or logging into a MeeTok account using social media or uploading photos from a social media
account.
- Other Partners: MeeTok may collect user information from partners where MeeTok adverts are
displayed, including details on marketing campaign outcomes. MeeTok may also obtain information
about problematic or potentially problematic members from third parties to ensure the safety and
security of users.
Information Generated or Automatically Collected When Using Services
Technical data is generated about how users use features, the devices they used to access services, etc.
The details are as follows:
- Usage Information: Data about the use of the service, such as login times, utilized features,
activities, viewed info, referral webpage addresses, clicked adverts, and interactions with other
members.
- Device Information: Collected information about the devices used to access MeeTok services, such as
IP address, device ID and type, app settings and features, app crashes, advertising ID (which can be
reset or sometimes disabled in device settings), and hardware and software information like
cookie-related identifiers or other technology identifying the device or browser used.
- Information Collected through Cookies and Similar Technologies: MeeTok and authorized third parties
use cookies and other similar technologies to recognize users or their devices. For details on how
and why this information is used and management options, please review our cookie policy.
Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) have a “Do Not Track” (DNT)
feature that informs websites of the user’s preference against tracking their online activities. When a
website responds to a DNT signal, the browser can prevent the collection of certain information. Not all
browsers offer a DNT option, and DNT signals are not yet uniform. Therefore, like most companies, MeeTok
currently does not respond to DNT signals.
Other Information Requiring User Consent:
- Precise Location Data: Collecting precise location data (latitude and longitude) from user devices,
with explicit consent from users. Even in the background, this data collection occurs if the user
consents, even when not using the service. If users do not consent to collect precise location
information, this data is not collected, but it may impact the availability of location-specific
services.
- Identity Verification Data: If opting for identity verification, certain regions may collect facial
structure information, considered biometric data to verify identity.
- Other Information: When users post photos or videos or use MeeTok’s streaming features, other
information may be collected with user consent.

transferred.
Law Enforcement (as legally required)

government investigations, law enforcement requests, supporting crime prevention or detection, or when

after which profiles will no longer be displayed to other members. Accounts inactive for two years will
be automatically deleted. Upon account deletion, user data is also deleted, except for certain retained
information for specific purposes.
- For member safety and security, a safety hold period of 3 months after account deletion or 1 year
after account suspension is implemented, during which user information is kept for investigating
illegal or harmful activities. MeeTok holds this information based on the necessity to protect
itself and third parties’ rights.
-
Post safety hold, MeeTok retains minimal data for the following purposes:
- Compliance with legal data retention obligations, like taxes and accounting, for transaction

- Protecting legitimate interests, such as supporting customer support decisions, rights
enhancement, litigation defense, and accurate financial reporting while keeping historical
account data for 3 years post-account deletion. Profile data in anticipation of potential
legal claims is retained for up to 1 year. Information about bad actors flagged to prevent
new account creation remains until it’s no longer necessary.
- Addressing unresolved or potential issues, litigation, or disputes allows MeeTok to retain
information as necessary.
